New Look Kelly Brook Lip Gloss Review

Kelly Brook Lip Gloss in 'Harbour Island' £2.99 New Look

I always love finding a cheap lip gloss which isn't just a plastic smelling sticky mess! Well Ta-dah introducing the Kelly Brook makeup line from New Look. To be completely honest when it comes to cheaper makeup I don't always have high hopes, after all the phrase 'you get what you pay for' comes to mind. So when I saw these lip glosses for £2.99 a pop I thought i'd give it a try and... I love it!
It's a deep fuchsia pink with no shimmer/glitter but it isn't matte. It's not too sticky and leaves my lips feeling so moisturized. It doesn't have amazing staying power but that's to be expected since it has no stain nor claims to stain the lips.
Overall for a cheap lip gloss I would definitely recommend this to people and I am definitely going back to see what other colours I can buy.

butter London Spring 2013 Nail Polish

Spring 2013, Please Hurry. I can't wait for Spring to properly arrive so I can not nearly freeze to death every day! Also exciting for Spring is new collections!! Whether it be nails, makeup or clothes I get excited to see whats on it's way. The major trend with nails this year seems to be pastels. A lot of companies are all releasing pastel shades. I thought I'd show you what butter London has up for grabs already...

Cuppa
Described on the site as 'A toasted opaque tan creme colour. Both a perfect neutral and statement maker in one.' I love neutral brown colours and so far the only one I own is Barry M Mushroom.

Fiver
Described as 'An opaque icy mint creme colour'. From the picture it looks a lot like a tiffany blue kind of colour. I own Revlons 'Minted' which is probably the closest.

Fruit Machine
Described as 'Opaque punchy carnation creme colour' What else is there to say about this, It's pink and I LOVE IT!! Although I don't own anything like this as it's a pink/purple so think this may be my favourite!

Jasper
Described as a 'Opaque bright pastel yellow creme colour'. The only yellow I own is OPI's 'Need Sunglasses?' and I still struggle to wear it so not sure this would make a good debut in my collection.

Kerfuffle
It's description is a 'Opaque pink coral colour'. Simply a lovely spring/summer colour. And usually these colours can sometimes help you appear more tanned which is a bonus!

Molly Coddled
'Opaque lavender orchid creme colour'. This sounds like such a luscious colour and will look amazing in Summer when the says are filled with sunshine and heat!

All these colours are available from the butter London website, Boots or Harvey Nichols.

Which is your favourite?

Project False Lash

Today's post is going to be dedicated to my mission for this year. I've tried numerous amount of times to apply false lashes with all of them being unsuccessful. I love the look of false lashes whether they be big full ones for night outs of just natural ones for everyday but either way I can never get the hang of applying them. I even tried single lashes and still was incapableSo I guess one of my new years promises to myself is to practice practice practice and hopefully get over my inability to apply them so I can wear them more often! I bought these cheap Primark false lashes to practice with, at only £1 each I thought it wouldn't matter as much if they get used and abused!

Have any of you got any tips or tricks on applying false lashes?

February 2013 Wishlist

1. Dior Addict Lip Glow Color Reviver Lipgloss {£23} - I'm quite lucky and work where there is a Dior counter so I have had a chance to try this out and I love it. It is the same concept as their Dior Addict Lip Glow Color Reviver Balm but quite simply in a gloss form which in my opinion just gives it that one little extra trump over the balm. It claims to react with the unique chemistry of everybody's lips. So everybody gets a slightly different colour outcome.

2. Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy La Fleur {£34-£63} - This perfume is quite simply ME! Fruity, light and sweet is just how I love my fragrances. It's main accords are white floral, fruity, sweet, caramel, vanilla and fresh. This to me just sounds delicious let alone smelling delicious. Can't wait to hopefully get my hands on it soon!

3. bareMinerals Prime Time Foundation Primer {£21-£29} - I've tried many primers before and am still on a bit of a hunt for the perfect holy grail primer. I have yet to try any bareMinerals products so would love for this to be the first one I try. It has a SPF 15 in it which is always a good thing and it smooths and evens out skin texture and helps minimize pores.

4. Dior Cherie Bow Palette {£59} - This new limited edition Dior palette is probably more a wish that won't come true. As much as I would love it I just know I don't have the cash to part for it. It's available in two colour harmonies; pinks or smokey. Both come with a eye shadow trio, black liner and a fresh gloss.

5. Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer {£5.99} - Now to be fair I do already own Big Bang so it's not so much as a whole a wishlist product it's more like the colours I want to buy. I will probably eventually admit to myself that I want all the colours available but for now I'm lusting after Stella, Celestial and Nova. Rimmel is on 3 for 2 at the moment at Boots so I might pop down there and fulfill this off my wishlist!

What are your wishlists for this month?

House Of Fraser Dress Campaign

I love dress shopping! When an occasion comes about where I need to purchase a new dress I get all excited. Whether it be a birthday, night out, christening or wedding I love the feel of wondering around shops looking for the perfect dress! I was contacted to see if I would help out with the 'House Of Fraser: Dress Campaign' and if I could pick out a couple of my favourite dresses from their site, so of course I said yes! I picked a variety of different price range dresses from bank breaker to affordable. So let me show you my top 4, and if you want to browse these lovely dresses then click the link!

Dress 1. Aftershock Clarice Maxi Dress £315.00
This is the highest priced dress I picked. Although I don't think I could ever afford a deluxe dress like this I think it is absolutely incredible! I love the colours of the dress and the detail on the top half. And particularly for me, I'm not a big fan of my legs so maxi dresses are a big win in my books.

My next higher priced dress is this gorgeous daisy dress. Now I know it's called a prom dress and I'm 7 years older from my prom but I kinda guessed you could wear this dress for anything. If I had the money I would buy it simply for summer because it would just look so pretty but I also thought it would be nice as a wedding dress/bridesmaid dresses if you didn't want to go for the traditional wedding dress.

I love monochrome clothes. I especially love how this dress is designed with the white paneling and the coral coloured skinny belt. This would be a great dress to wear out for a birthday or just a night out (if it was just a little bit more affordable!).

This is the cheapest dress of the four. And I definitely see this as a Christmas party / New Years Eve dress choice. It is also available in black sequin but I think I prefer the Burgundy as it's very on trend at the moment and is just a bit more out there rather then black. I would also love to have this as a dress for my birthday on a night out, definitely a party girl dress.

Did you see anything you liked? I think my favourite has to be the Burgundy Sequin dress.
Visit the 'House Of Fraser' site to see these lovely dresses and more.

Ciate Caviar Nail Dupe??

I had heard about these Primark 3D Manicure sets a couple of months ago on someone else's blog (Sorry I can't remember who's it was) and really wanted to try them out as I didn't want to spend £18 on the Ciate Cavier Sets only to find out I didn't like them. So when I went shopping the other day I popped into Primark and to my surprise I found them! £2.50 for a Nail Polish, Nail Beads and a Filter to put unused beads back into the bottle. These were the only two colours my Primark had so I'm not sure if any others are available.

As they are from Primark, they don't have names to them so this set comes with a silver polish and pink/white/silver pearl beads.

This set comes with a dark purple/pink polish and multicolored pearl beads.

I can't wait to try these out and take some pictures to review them. I haven't tried the Ciate Caviar Sets so I can't compare them but will do my best to tell you how I found the experience.

Have you tried these yet? Have you tried the Ciate Caviar Sets?

Nails Inc Polish

This isn't going to be a normal haul as I didn't buy it. My sister in fact bought these polishes but the inner beauty blogger in me still needed to blog about them. So she kindly let me take pictures of them (and hopefully will give me the colours she doesn't like/wear!) so I could write this post. Onto the good stuff...

She did the Nails Inc Lucky Dip where you get 6 polishes for £15 which is a good deal considering they are £11 a bottle! The only downside is you don't know what your going to get! The 6 colours my sister received were..

Clifford Street
This colour is gorgeous. It's a deep purple grey with gold flecks. Definitely a good Autumn/Winter shade and would look amazing on fingers and toes.

Fenchurch Street
I feel this is a very love it or hate it colour. It's a brown caramel colour, slightly darker then camel. I'm not sure how I feel about it. Think I may have to see it on nails to make my decision.

Chelsea Flower Show
This is a very sheer tangerine orange colour with a shiny jelly finish. Reminds me very much of the Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine polishes. It also has a scented finish to it and really does smell like oranges.

Greenwich Park
Greenwich Park was one of the Medals collection colours which was for celebrating the Olympics last year but is still available in a set with the bronze shade (Horseguard's Parade Polish) and the gold shade (Wembley Polish) for £25.00 from lookfantastic.com. It is a chrome shade and when purchased in the set comes in a Olympic themed box.

Walton Place
This is my favourite colour of them all.. A neon pink!! It is a slightly yellow toned barbie pink. So excited for this colour and as my sister isn't a pink girl I'm hoping she will give this to me!

Blenheim Terrace
This is a lovely pale pink/peach colour. It has a very subtle shimmer and would be great for those days you don't want bright stand out nails and just want something soft.

What do you think of these colours? Do you own any of these?
