Essie 'Watermelon'

Afternoon Lovelies...

I'm just writing this quick post about a new polish I purchased at duty free in Tenerife. As we had time to spare before our flight we wondered round the duty free to see if there was anything worthy to spend my last euros on. That's when I found this little beauty...

When looking at the Essie stands I always feel overwhelmed and never know what colour to buy. But after seeing Gem's instagram photo (go see her lovely blog HERE) of her holiday nails using this colour I knew I had to have it.

Although I know Summer is quite obviously over, has it been freezing cold everywhere in the country? I still love to wear bright colours. It is a cherry pink/red colour with a shiny finish.
The one thing I love about Essie polishes (and I'm not sure if this was recently changed?) is the wide brush which means it only takes 1-2 strokes to cover your entire nail. Plus with this colour you can get away with only 1 coat which is nice when your in a rush to paint your nails.

I can't recommend Essie nail polishes enough and urge people to at least purchase 1 Essie nail polishes for your collection. I am going to be purchasing more in the future. What are your favourite Essie shades? Has anyone got any good recommendations for my next purchase?
Essie polishes are available from larger Boots and Superdrug stores or online for £7.99.

She Said Beauty

Hello Lovelies...

I'm going to talk about a site I've come across all thanks to Lucy over at GrazedKnees. After reading her blog for what seems like hours I saw her talk about She Said Beauty.

If you click above, it should take you to my profile there.

So what is She Said Beauty?
So basically its a social media community. They also offer a monthly beauty box just like glossybox or birchbox. You can discover some great bloggers on here and look at what brands, products etc they like. You can also compare, review and discover new beauty products you may have never come across before. They are made up of a team of specialists from all different areas. From beauty industry experts, influential journalists & bloggers through to  Digital Marketing & Technical Specialists who have worked on global projects for airlines, banks and international high street retail brands delivering cutting edge solutions

A quote from the site...
"Our vision is for She Said Beauty to provide our members and visitors an unparalleled
social networking experience for beauty. An independent platform where people can research, discover and purchase beauty products, as well as share their existing beauty blogs, videos and photos.
For Brands, we deliver an end-to-end sales & marketing channel, driving earned media and product sales through word of mouth and content generation, while providing rich consumer behavioural data for marketing, product development and retention strategies.”
- Ben Aronsten, CEO & Founder.

What about the beauty box?
So I'm sure most of you know what a beauty box is as there are so many out there you
can subscribe to. In case you don't it's a service you subscribe to for a monthly price.
She Said Beauty costs £9 + £2.95 p&p per month or you can pay for 3 months for £27 +
£2.95 p&p (other sites will vary in costs). It contains 5 beauty samples from top brands
which can vary from skincare, treatments, face, colour, sun, hair, nails, body & fragrance.
You have the freedom to cancel at anytime and is available in the United Kingdom &
Republic Of Ireland.

I haven't been on the site for long but can't wait to work my way round it and figure it all out.

Also a quick note about my 200 follower giveaway. I'm going to buy the prizes at the end of the month so look out for that post early October.

John Frieda Sheer Blonde Campaign

Hello lovelies...

I'm back from my holiday and have already got the blues and want to be back bathing in the sun, waking up and standing on my balcony taking in the view on the sunny island of Tenerife.
But alas I'm back and back to blogging (which I did secretly miss whilst I was away!)

John Frieda® London Paris New York

Now it's no secret that I love John Frieda products and have not come across 1 product that I haven't enjoyed using. So when I was contacted and asked if I wanted to be part of their Sheer Blonde Campaign I wasn't going to say no!

I was unaware until I was contacted that John Frieda has a Youtube channel where they put up hair tutorials. Most recently they have done styles for blondes. My favourites have to be the hair bow and the fishtail plait.

I'm very much looking forward to working along side John Frieda so look out for some upcoming posts. I'm going to hopefully (although I'm not the greatest with hair) recreate some of the styles from their videos also post some reviews on their products and hopefully do a giveaway.

Have you tried any John Frieda products before? What was your experience like?
