My Favourite 5 Blogs Of 2013

Long time no see!!
Yes I'm back and cannot tell you how excited I am to get back in to blogging! My laptop issues still are not fixed but I have acquired myself a iPad air!! So do bare with me whilst I get used to blogging on this thing.

So to get back into the swing of things I thought I would start off easy with a post of my 5 favourite blogs of 2013. Because although I couldn't blog that certainly didn't stop me from reading all your lovely blogs. So without further ado...

Hannah over at Cosmetic Crave is definitely one of my favourite blogs to look out for when she does a new post. From reviews to hauls I love reading what Hannah has to say.

Laura over at Lola And Behold is one of my closest blogging buddies. We met last year and I truly trust what she has to say about products. I read her blog long before I met her and continue to love reading it.

Sophie at Sophie Rose Hearts is also another one of my closest blogging buddies. What I love about Sophie's blog is her lifestyle posts. I especially loved seeing her trip to Paris through her eyes.

Hayley over at Beauty Rambles takes the most gorgeous blog pictures which really are eye catching. From nail polish to lush products Hayley has plenty to tell you about.

Katie over at SugarFixxBeauty is someone who's style I completely adore. And can we just talk about her gorgeous pink hair for a minute!! She takes lovely blog pictures and the content is just a delight to read.

So there we have it my favourite 5 blogs from last year. I look forward to reading all your lovely blogs this year and hopefully discovering some new ones to follow.

Thanks again for all of you who have stuck by me during my hiatus!

Til next time...

A Perfect Molton Brown Christmas

If you've followed my blog for a while you will know a couple of months ago I started a new job with Molton Brown so I thought what better way to kick off my series of Christmas posts than to talk about what Molton Brown has to offer this year.

I just want to add in a disclaimer here that yes I do work for Molton Brown but this post is of my own doing and I was not asked to write anything for the company itself. So on that note let's get started...

Myrrh, Musk & Cypress Hand Wash £16.00 | Myrrh, Musk & Cypress Hand Lotion £20.00

These are the two festive scents for this year and I've got to say my favourite by far is the Frankincense & Allspice. Described on the website as "Presents unwrapped. Mulled wine on the stove. Cinnamon sticks hanging from the hearth." this is the perfect scent for winter/christmas time.
Myrrh, Musk & Cypress is more on the excuse the pun muskier side which isn't a scent I would normally lean towards. Described as "The quiet of the church. Treasures in giltboxes. Scents of occassion." Again another wintery scent. Both also available in single wick candles priced at £36.00 which would make perfect little gifts for those special people in your life. Next onto the sets.

First valued at £60.00 but costing only £38.00 is the Bathing Treasures Collection which is the cutest gift set filled with 12 mini body washes in a variety of scents. Ranging from the spicy Pink Pepperpod to the relaxing Ylang Ylang you can truly try out every different temptation.

Next is the gorgeous Gingerlily Trio. This is my favourite scent that Molton Brown do which is strange as it's fragrance family is floriental and I normally hate anything floral. In this set is a full size bodywash, full size body lotion and a little gingerlily candle which smells amazing!!

This set is for the men in your life consisting of four body washes and a shampoo. The Explorer Collection is great if you're buying for someone who has never tried Molton Brown before or if you just don't know what kind of scent they like. All products are travel size so perfect if you know they are on the go a lot.

Another miniatures set is the Bath & Body Treasures Collection. This time you get 6 body washes with the matching scented body lotions. Valued at £66.00 but priced at only £42.00 this is a great deal and perfect again if they have never tried Molton Brown before or just want to try out different scents before committing to the full size product.

The Pink Pepperpod Trio £60.00 | The Great Escape Collection £40.00
The Pamper & Preen Collection £46.00 | The Patchouli & Saffron Collection £72.00

This full size Pink Pepperpod Trio is perfect for anyone who likes a spicy oriental scent. Saving £12.00 on buying the products individually is a bargain and you will be equipped for your full shower routine. Body Scrub, Body Wash & Body Lotion completes this pink set.

The next set is the Great Escape Collection, a six piece travel shower gel gift set. Three of the washes come in the traditional Molton Brown bottles and the other three in perfect for travelling squeezy tubes which makes this set perfect for avid travellers.

The Pamper & Preen Collection is the only set which involves bath products with skincare and body products. Including a sample size of their Peruvian Maca Anti-Ageing Hydra-Creme and Desert Blossom Hand Rescue this set is perfect for anyone wanting to try out their lets just say it more on the expensive side face cream.

Last but not least is the Patchouli & Saffron Collection which if I'm honest is definitely a distinctive scent. For me personally it's too strong a scent but this particular scent was released for their 40th anniversary this year and has a very 70's inspired packaging. Just like the Pink Pepperpod Trio all these products are full size. The set includes the body wash, body lotion and candle.

Have you tried Molton Brown before? Do any of their Christmas sets catch your eye?

July Wishlist 2013

1. My nail polish is slowly growing every month and I am running out of storage for them so whilst browsing amazon I came across this acrylic holder for the bargain price of £7.98. This will be great for my desk where I can keep my most used polishes as it holds up to 30 bottles of polish.
2. I love Essie polishes! And over the past couple of months My Essie collection has grown rapidly and I can see it in the future growing even more! This is the 2013 summer collection and I love each and every colour. Especially the Teal colour and the pale lilac.
3. A couple of posts ago I showed you the first ever Real Techniques brush that I have purchased and this is next on my list. I love eye brushes but only own a few so I am definitely in need of some more.
4. I love me eyeshadows, especially neutral shadows and even better all in one palette. I have yet to own any Stila products so can see this being my first. I found it on Feel Unique for £25 which I think is an amazing price for a palette of 10 shadows plus an exclusive waterproof eyeliner.
5. Coloured blazers are all the trend right now and I love all the colours available. Especially this coral/peach one from New Look for a great price of £19.99. Great for going out and for work so very versatile.

RiRi ♥ M.A.C Summer 2013 Collection

You will probably see this pop up on about 10,000 beauty blogs at some point this week but as a MASSIVE Rihanna fan I had to mention it on my blog. The images for her Summer portion of her year long collaboration with M.A.C cosmetics have been revealed and I must say I will probably buy all of it!
The first part was her redesigned version of the cult classic Ruby Woo lipstick 'RiRi Woo' which sold out within the first 3 hours of going on sale. This went on sale to coincide with her Stadium Tour on May 5th & 6th. I was lucky enough to get my hands on one of these and I refuse to use it until I at least get myself a backup (yes i'm that sad!!)
I admit that the main reason I am attracted to this collection is because it's Rihanna. The past year or so I've found myself not needing to buy from collections much but this one is a certainty.

Lipsticks
RiRi Woo - Matte Cool Red (Retro Matte).
RiRi Boy - Retro Matte Version Of 'Up The Amp'. (Retro Matte).
Heaux - A Deep Berry (Retro Matte).

Blush Duo
Hibiscus Kiss - Cool Coral / Matte Neutral Bronze.

Lustre Drops
Barbados Girl - Light Golden Bronze Shimmer

Out of the whole 5 items the one I could probably do without least is the lustre drops as I've had them before and never found them of much use.

What do you think of the collection? Will you be buying anything from the collection?

April Wishlist 2013

Bumble and Bumble Sunday Shampoo
I've heard so much about Bumble and Bumble hair care but have yet to try anything from them. Lately I've been looking for a product build up removal shampoo as I used to use Boots own version but can't seem to find it anymore. After reading all about this product I definitely think I may purchase it to give it a go. It's available from Boots for £15.50.

Escada Cherry In The Air EDT 50ml
With summer approaching soon (hopefully!!) I will be looking for my summer fragrance for this year. Last year it was Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue. I love my fruity scents so it only make sense to fall in love with this Escada fragrance which smells exactly like cherries and not the artificial kind. It's available from Boots for £35.00.

OPI 'When Monkeys Fly'
Who doesn't love a bit of bling on their nails from time to time. Apart from it being a pain in the arse to remove there is nothing more satisfying than a bit of sparkle to the talons. OPI have impressed me so much lately with their glitters and I have fallen in love with the  newest releases from their Oz collection. Available from opiuk.com for £11.50.

Smashbox Hydrating Photo Finish Primer
Again like Bumble and Bumble, I have heard so much about Smashbox but haven't actually ever tried anything from them. And one product that I'm always hearing about is their ever so famous face primer. I'm quite bad and haven't been using a primer for a while but I think I may change that! Available from Boots for £12.50.

What are you looking forward to purchasing?

February 2013 Wishlist

1. Dior Addict Lip Glow Color Reviver Lipgloss {£23} - I'm quite lucky and work where there is a Dior counter so I have had a chance to try this out and I love it. It is the same concept as their Dior Addict Lip Glow Color Reviver Balm but quite simply in a gloss form which in my opinion just gives it that one little extra trump over the balm. It claims to react with the unique chemistry of everybody's lips. So everybody gets a slightly different colour outcome.

2. Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy La Fleur {£34-£63} - This perfume is quite simply ME! Fruity, light and sweet is just how I love my fragrances. It's main accords are white floral, fruity, sweet, caramel, vanilla and fresh. This to me just sounds delicious let alone smelling delicious. Can't wait to hopefully get my hands on it soon!

3. bareMinerals Prime Time Foundation Primer {£21-£29} - I've tried many primers before and am still on a bit of a hunt for the perfect holy grail primer. I have yet to try any bareMinerals products so would love for this to be the first one I try. It has a SPF 15 in it which is always a good thing and it smooths and evens out skin texture and helps minimize pores.

4. Dior Cherie Bow Palette {£59} - This new limited edition Dior palette is probably more a wish that won't come true. As much as I would love it I just know I don't have the cash to part for it. It's available in two colour harmonies; pinks or smokey. Both come with a eye shadow trio, black liner and a fresh gloss.

5. Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer {£5.99} - Now to be fair I do already own Big Bang so it's not so much as a whole a wishlist product it's more like the colours I want to buy. I will probably eventually admit to myself that I want all the colours available but for now I'm lusting after Stella, Celestial and Nova. Rimmel is on 3 for 2 at the moment at Boots so I might pop down there and fulfill this off my wishlist!

What are your wishlists for this month?

January 2013 Wishlist

1. Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette {£20} - I don't actually own any of the UD Naked Palettes which I am actually quite upset about but I've promised myself one day I will treat myself to one. This is the latest palette to be released which consists of 6 matte shadows perfect to go from a classic neutral day look to a smokey dark night out look.

2. Bumble and bumble Hairdresser's Invisible Oil {£30} - I've heard so many bbloggers talk about this product lately and I really would love to try it for myself. It reduces frizz and fly aways and adds a subtle shine to the hair. I've never tried any Bumble and bumble products so if you have any recommendations then please tell me in a comment below.

3. Nars Blush in 'Orgasm' {£21} - I don't own any Nars products so again this year I've promised myself I'm going to get at least 1 product from each brand I don't own anything of. So excited and of course this is one of the most talked about products in the beauty blogging world.

4. Origins Super Spot Remover {£13} - I see a running theme in this months wishlist is all products from brands i own nothing of. And also all big talked about products, but then I suppose that's partly what makes me want to try the product out. So a lot of bbloggers have raved about how good this product is and since I'm suffering at the moment from breakouts I really want to try this.

5. Laura Mercier Creme Smooth Lip Colour in 'Antique Pink' {£20} - I have tried the bath & body line and have had samples of the makeup line but have yet to purchase a full size product myself. I work where there is a Laura Mercier counter so lucky I can play around and see what I want to buy and I definitely want to try these lipsticks out. The pigmentation is amazing and the staying power is amazing!!

So there you have it my January 2013 Wishlist, what are you lusting over?
