Benefit Skincare

Another Benefit addiction coming my way I feel. I have yet to purchase any full sizes of the skincare but can say just by the samples that I LOVE it! I'm always looking for new skincare as my skin likes to change so often from dry to combination to oily I just can't keep up with it.

Triple Performing Facial Emulsion SPF15 PA++ - £19.50
When I first saw this I thought to myself what the hell is a face emulsion?? If I'm correct I believe it's a lighter option of a face cream. Most dry skin sufferers prefer a thicker cream as they feel it's doing more than the lighter option of a emulsion. As I suffer from majority dry combination, my T-Zone suffers from a tad of oil so I shall be using this on just that. It hydrates, protects and comforts the skin with a oil free, lightweight formula.

Refined Finish Facial Polish - £17.50
I love how Benefit haven't gone for the common usual names like exfoliator instead they call it a face polish, it makes the product stand out for me. This is to be used 1-2 times a week after cleansing to brighten the complexion. It exfoliates to purify the skin and help minimize the appearance of pores to reveal your skins natural radiance. I haven't got round to trying this yet but can't wait as I love the feeling after exfoliating.

Total Moisture Facial Cream - £26.50
This is by far my most favourite product from their skincare range so far. A moisturizer is the one product I find hardest to find one to suit me perfectly. And since my skin is always changing this adds to the hunt of the perfect moisturizer. But since using Benefit's total moisture my skins condition has improved quite significally. It provides concentrated and long term hydration for a refreshed complexion.

It's Potent! Eye Cream - £23.50
Now I deserve a slap on the hand as when it comes to eye creams I've never really bothered with them. But I now am definitely seeing the side effects of not using one. I've noticed I am getting bigger bags (this could also have to do with starting work at 5am!) and I'm getting dark circles now. I'm definitely going to try this out and see if it makes a difference. It's Potent helps fade dark circles and helps smooth fine lines for brighter younger looking eyes.

All items available in full size from the Benefit site here.
Have you tried Benefit's skincare yet? What are your thoughts on it?

January 2013 Wishlist

1. Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette {£20} - I don't actually own any of the UD Naked Palettes which I am actually quite upset about but I've promised myself one day I will treat myself to one. This is the latest palette to be released which consists of 6 matte shadows perfect to go from a classic neutral day look to a smokey dark night out look.

2. Bumble and bumble Hairdresser's Invisible Oil {£30} - I've heard so many bbloggers talk about this product lately and I really would love to try it for myself. It reduces frizz and fly aways and adds a subtle shine to the hair. I've never tried any Bumble and bumble products so if you have any recommendations then please tell me in a comment below.

3. Nars Blush in 'Orgasm' {£21} - I don't own any Nars products so again this year I've promised myself I'm going to get at least 1 product from each brand I don't own anything of. So excited and of course this is one of the most talked about products in the beauty blogging world.

4. Origins Super Spot Remover {£13} - I see a running theme in this months wishlist is all products from brands i own nothing of. And also all big talked about products, but then I suppose that's partly what makes me want to try the product out. So a lot of bbloggers have raved about how good this product is and since I'm suffering at the moment from breakouts I really want to try this.

5. Laura Mercier Creme Smooth Lip Colour in 'Antique Pink' {£20} - I have tried the bath & body line and have had samples of the makeup line but have yet to purchase a full size product myself. I work where there is a Laura Mercier counter so lucky I can play around and see what I want to buy and I definitely want to try these lipsticks out. The pigmentation is amazing and the staying power is amazing!!

So there you have it my January 2013 Wishlist, what are you lusting over?

Laura Mercier Christmas Present

Evening guys! So I was meant to tap out a What I Got For Christmas post but as usual I've been all over the place and never got round to actually doing it. So I thought what would be better is showing you one of my many lovely gifts I received. My lovely friend Jordan bought me these lovely gifts and I absolutely love them. It was a bit of a cheat because A. She works for Laura Mercier and B. We bought each other what we wanted most for the body line because we couldn't justify spending the pennies on ourselves ha.

So as you can see I received the Creme Brulee Honey Bath and the Almond Coconut Milk hand creme. Both products I am in LOVE with. I use the hand cremes at work all the time so I knew I would love it now I have one for home. I love the almond coconut milk scent as it's not too strong but strong enough to be able to smell it all day... and I mean all day!
The honey bath is just indescribable. It is the most amazing scent ever. If you love sweet, foody smells then this is most definitely for you!!

When I've used the Honey bath a bit more I'll do a more in-depth review.
Have you tried any of the body line from Laura Mercier?

Macadamia Healing Oil Treatment Review

As a girl who lusts after bright blonde hair and unfortunately was not born with it I bleach my hair quite a lot so I do find I suffer with dry hair (although I do get complemented on how good condition my hair is in!).
I was using my Vo5 Miracle Concentrate to battle my dry ends and have done for a couple of months and absolutely love it. A couple of months ago I made an order on cheapsmells.com and was sent a little tester bottle, 10ml to be exact of the Macadamia Healing Oil Treatment. I didn't think about using it straight away as I was a bit scared to if I'm being honest. I always have this image that It will just make my hair into a grease ball  The Vo5 Miracle Concentrate comes with a pipette so it's quite easy to measure out how much but looking at the Macadamia oil I thought it would just come pouring out into my hand.
So a couple of weeks ago I saw it sitting with my hair products and just thought what the heck I'll give it a go. So firstly its as expected a light oil with a nutty cologne smell which isn't too strong but enough you can smell it. I quite like it actually. I slowly pour a little bit into my palm and rub my hands together so it distributes throughout my hair evenly. I work it mainly into my ends but with the last little bit left on my hand I just work upwards but not on my roots.
Let me tell you now I love this friggin stuff! The ends of my hair have never been so soft and people have noticed the change in my hair which is always a bonus! I much prefer this to the Vo5 Miracle Concentrate... Now if only the prices resemble the same.

It is available to purchase from their own website www.macadamiahair.co.uk/ but lets not kid ourselves we all buy from the cheaper beauty sites so I shall list the prices from www.cheapsmells.com

*10ml Healing Oil Treatment...£3.45
*30ml Healing Oil Treatment...£7.98

It also comes in a spray form but I haven't heard good reviews on this compared to the oil so we shall see maybe I will try it maybe not. But it has definitely made me interested to see what the rest of their products are like. Have you tried this before? Did you like it?

*Duo Boots

I was contacted by Alexandra who is currently working on behalf of www.duoboots.com and was asked if I would take a look at their site and maybe write a post about them.
Before being contacted I had never heard of Duo Boots so was intrigued to take a look at their site to see what they had to offer.

I thought I would show you a couple of favourite pieces I've found on the site...

I've been looking for a pair of boots like these for ages, sadly I don't think I can afford these particular ones but aren't they gorgeous! They are also available in Tan. These would be perfect to wear with skinny jeans or leggings and a over sized shirt.

OMG how cute are these shoe boots. They are a lovely burgundy suede with leather buttons. I could imagine wearing these with a skirt or dress and tights, would look so cute.  They are available in black suede as well. And on sale...bonus!

I thought I would try and spread out the range of prices on the site but I couldn't leave these out. Again these are in the sale so that's a bonus and would be perfect for these colder months. Plus with the heel it adds a little bit extra to the shoe. These are also available in Black.

As you may be able to tell I love ankle boots. Duo Boots do also offer a whole range of boots from ankle to knee high and even offer flat shoes like ballerina style and wedges. If your like me and have a bit of extra calf (Us bigger girls all suffer from this) so find it difficult to find knee high shoes which will actually go over your calf's then worry no more. Duo Boots actually lets you pick a calf width in cm so you can alter the boot to suit your needs. Some of their boots are also available in different widths so girls and boys who suffer with wide feet (again like me..) again can alter to suit you.

All in all I'm liking the shoes available from this site and I think I might try and save some pennies to treat myself to a nice pair of boots.

Color Club All About French Collection

Just before Christmas I did a post about the amazing deal I found in TK Maxx on these Color Club sets for £7.99 for 7 polishes. You can read that post here.

So today I want to show you the 'All About French' collection. As these bottles come with no name on each polish I tried to do some digging to find out what one's I had. I've read some other peoples posts on these sets and it seems a lot of people get different colours in each set. This isn't surprising for TK Maxx as packaging is always open and people blatantly switch colours around to what they want.

On the back of the packaging it does give you a list of names, well 3 lists in this case so I'm guessing there are 3 different sets out there. As hard as I looked I couldn't find anyone who had the same colours as me so I'm sorry for that but you can still admire the pretty colours right?

This is a little deeper in real life but looks like it will be a lovely pinky coral for the summer.

This is a very sheer pink pearl colour. It definitely will take a good few coats to make it a solid colour.

This is the most perfect baby pink colour. Reminds me a lot of Essies Ballet Slippers.

This is a slightly deeper pink then the previous one. A bit more of a Barbie pink.

This is one of the two glitters in the set. Its a pretty pink fine glitter in a pale pink varnish.

This is the only colour in the set which isn't pink or a glitter. It's a gorgeous pale egg blue.

The final polish is the second glitter. Its a white pearl fine glitter suspended in a clear polish.

Like with the other set, when I get a chance to wear all these colours I will do swatches and a review.
