Things I Want To Buy | Maybelline Makeup

Today I wanted to share with you some new makeup items I am hoping to purchase in the future to try out and fingers crossed love. I'm trying my hardest to save money so am in the middle of sorting out a beauty ban but until then I can plan what makeup gems I want to spend my money on!!

First up is the much hyped Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser. I've read a few reviews and the consensus is very positive. It is said to be a dupe of Benefits Porefessional which is an every day product in my makeup routine. So if I can find an alternative for a fraction of the price I'm on board. I can't wait to purchase it and try it out. It's available from Boots for £7.99.

Next is the new Maybelline Colour Sensational In The Buff lipstick collection. As I've only seen them online and not in person I can't say which ones I want to buy (who knows I might want them all!) but I do like the look of majority of the shades. I've been on the hunt for a while for a nude lipstick that doesn't make me look like a dead corpse so hopefully this might mean the end to my search. Available from Boots for £6.99.

I've been through many foundations and have yet to find an affordable product to call my staple or holy grail product. I'm using Guerlain Lingerie De Peau but with this costing £37.00 it isn't very friendly to my old bank account. Again like the primer I've only seen a couple of blog posts about the new Maybelline Super Stay Better Skin so fingers crossed this may be the one. Available from Boots for £8.99.

I haven't seen any mention or blog posts about the new Maybelline Super Stay Better Skin Concealer but I thought I would just throw it in. When new duo products come out I like to test both to see if they do really match well. In the past I've found it hard to colour match the foundation to the concealer as sometimes they are completely different. Also available from Boots for £5.99.

If I do end up purchasing these be sure to look out for a haul post or reviews.

Do you own any of these products? Are you interested in any of them?

"Life Is Too Short, Buy All The Nail Polish!"

After hearing so much about all the brands bringing out their new speckled polishes I knew by pay day I had to buy them all!! Unfortunately my local Boots never seem to have fully stocked shelves so some colours I couldn't get my hands on.

Barry M
I knew I wanted to pick up the sequin effects polishes and after seeing some peoples Instagrams I saw that they also had their new colours in their Gelly Hi-Shine range out so with the 3 for 2 offer on in Superdrug I picked up a few. Firstly to make up the 3 for 2 I grabbed the 'Silver Multi-Glitter' which will look lovely for the summer so I can't wait to try this out. Then from the Gelly Hi-Shine range I got 'Blue Grape' and 'Guava'. Blue Grape is a gorgeous royal blue colour and looks very similar to Nails Inc 'Baker Street'. Guava is the nicest turquoise I think I may of come across. The polishes I was really after were the sequin effects and there are 3 shades available. I was going to buy all three but the black based ones didn't seem to have any sequins in them so I just went with the Pink and White. And lastly I hadn't seen this before so picked it up to give it a go. A nail paint corrector pen, and as I always have a shaky hand when it comes to painting my nails this will be well tested. All polishes and the corrector pen available from Boots and Superdrug. Polishes were £2.99 and the corrector pen was £5.99.

Maybelline
These are the other speckled polishes I couldn't wear to get my hands on but unfortunately in both Boots and Superdrug only these two were available so I will keep my eye out for the other. The green shade 'Rainforest Canopy' is a gorgeous sheer jade green colour with black and white hexagonal and small matte glitters. The pink shade 'Speckled Pink' is a milky pink base with again black and white hexagonal and small matte glitters. I can't wait to try both these out. I wonder what they would be like on toes??

Seventeen
This is a polish I came across and wasn't even aware that Seventeen had jumped on the speckled nail bandwagon. This is the only colour they had in stock but there is also a Monochrome version with a black base polish.

Do you own any of these polishes? What are your views on the Speckled polish hype?

PayDay Beauty Shopping List

Around this time every month I start imagining (and sometimes daydream) about what beauty items I'm going to spend my hard earned money on. So with payday approaching (just not fast enough) I thought I'd do a post about what's on my shopping list this month...

1. B. Pure Micellar Water - £4.99 - Superdrug
I hadn't heard a lot about much skincare from Superdrug as I usually buy mine from where I work or Boots. So when I read about the whole B. range from London Beauty Queen (you can read her post about it here) I was very intrigued to see what they had to offer. She also mentioned about their Pure Micellar Water and it's basically a cheaper version of the Bioderma one at a fraction of the price so can't wait to get my hands on this.

2. Crown Brush BK13 Blending Fluff Brush - £2.69 - Crownbrush.co.uk
I think I heard about Crown Brushes through Youtube after watching several haul videos from Imats. But never really thought they were easily available to purchase until I heard people talking about them on Twitter so I had a look and I ideally would love them all but there are a few that I need in my brush collection which I own nothing like them. This blending fluff brush is one of them. They have blending brushes and crease brushes separately which I never thought there was two different kinds. And for £2.69 I don't think you can go wrong!

3. Crown Brush C411 Pointed Blending Brush - £5.09 - Crownbrush.co.uk
I thought I would add in this brush to my shopping list as I know MAC do a similar one (286 Duo Fibre Tapered Blending Brush) which I have always wanted but could never part with £22 to own one. So what's better then trying the same kind of brush out but at a fraction of the price.

4. MUA Undress Your Skin Highlighting Powder - £2.00 - Muastore.co.uk or Superdrug
It's been all over the bloggersphere about the new MUA Undress range and quite equally I think among us all I want to try it all. And it's easily achieved because of MUA's amazing prices for their products. At an introductory price of £2 (only to go up by £1 after) where can you go wrong? I'm always on the hunt for a new product to give me that perfect glow and this could be it. You can apply as a highlight to your cheekbones etc or add on top of blusher or bronzer to add a subtle glow (just don't go crazy or your end up looking like a disco ball.)

5. NYC Expert Last Lip in 'Flirty' - £1.99 - Superdrug
I think I saw these on someones blog of a haul they had recently done and their review of them were nothing but praise. Yes I love MAC, Chanel and Laura Mercier lippies but sometimes my bank balance just won't allow me to buy all the lovely colours I want. So when a good high street makeup brand releases a new line of lipsticks I can't help myself but be curious. I love this shade and as much as I love a bright, bold lip I am a true pink girl at heart.

6. Sleek Flick It Eyeliner - £5.99 - Superdrug
When it comes to eyeliner I've stayed faithful to my good old MAC Blacktrack fluidline. But I find it near impossible to create the perfect flick with it and got told a liquid liner is sometimes easier. Fast forward a couple of weeks and I came across Sophies review of the Sleek liquid pen liner (See her post here). Like me Sophie said how she finds eyeliner hard but since using these it has now become a daily occurance for her to wear the cat eye look with ease. Can't wait to get my hands on them!

What do you guys want when you get paid?

*Mallzee - A New Way To Shop

Online shopping is definitely a thing of today. As much as going to town is fun who wouldn't much prefer sitting at home in the warmth and purchasing pretty things with a click of a button (Especially around Christmas time when the shops are manic, yes I'm thinking about Christmas 2013!). The only time this can sometime hinder more then help is when it comes to clothes shopping.

The fun thing I find about going clothes shopping with friends is trying on outfits and getting your friends opinion right? When shopping online I can't say many people find something and then email their friends for their opinion before purchasing. This is what online shopping is lacking... The social side to it.

This is where Mallzee comes in handy! Mallzee claims to be the new social way of shopping online. This is what they say...

"Mallzee is all about creating a new experience for shopping online. Users create their own personalized shopping mall (Mallzee) by picking their favourite brands and stores. Our fancy software then finds products matching your personal style and showcases them in your Mallzee! To add a new social aspect users can then invite their friends to ‘visit’ their Mallzee through the use of Facebook chat. Friends can then discuss product choices and star items they think their friends will love and purchase from the mall themselves with great discounts negotiated by us. If you're still unable to decided on a purchase you can also create polls to ask your friends opinions before you buy. An added bonus to inviting friends to your mallzee is that as the ‘owner’ you earn money every time anyone buys from your Mallzee! (That's right you get paid when you or your friends shop!)

Currently we have over 200 brands signed up to Mallzee (Urban Outfitters, New Look, Feel Unique and St. Tropez to name a few). We're really keen to get the word out about Mallzee and get future users excited about the concept before we launch later this year. With this in mind people can register now for a launch invite at Mallzee.com and if they spread the word on Facebook or Twitter we will also enter them into a prize for £100/$155 of shopping vouchers and some other goodies"

I am 100% sold on this site particularly drawn to the brands which are already signed up to the whole idea. New Look, Feel Unique and St. Tropaz are among some of my favourite brands so I cannot wait for this site to launch. I haven't heard about a launch date as of yet but I would keep an eye out very soon!

If you haven't already signed up...Err why not ha! You can do so here and be among the first ones to experience this exciting experiment.
