Birthday Haul 2013 - Boots & Primark

It was my birthday on Thursday and my sisters gave me a Primark voucher and a Boots voucher. I went into town today so I thought I would show you what I purchased.

From Primark I bought accessories as it's something I never tend to buy when I'm shopping. I'm out tonight with the girls for my birthday celebrations and realised I had no jewellery to wear so in I went with my £15 gift card to see what I could buy.
First I got a bag to take out. It's just a simple black clubbing bag as I call it, just big enough for the essentials phone, purse and makeup! I also picked up from the queue line some hair clips just to use when i'm straightening my hair to separate the sections. Onto the jewellery, I bought three pairs of earrings and a necklace. All along the same theme, I got two pairs of cross earrings, one gold and one silver. I love crosses and I simply wear them as fashion which I know can be a controversial topic but let's not get into that. The third pair are these spear like silver earrings which I just loved as soon as I saw them.

Then onto Boots. To start off with the boring stuff I got another one of my favourite deodorants from dove, some blonde hairbands which I love these type as they don;t have the metal bit therefor don't hurt when they snap back on your hand. And also some more hair grips because like every other girl we all know they mysteriously disappear all the time.

First two items are both recommended buys from bloggers. Firstly the Tea Flower Deep Clean Pore Purifying Clay Mask by Super Facialist by Una Brennan. I saw this in Zoe's June Favourites and liked the sound of it and what it did. I don't often pamper myself enough and have been on a lookout for a new mask to try. And also i'm finding my pores are getting bigger lately so need something to try and shrink those buggers!
Next I've seen so many bloggers and vloggers from across the pond talk about this Vaseline Spray & Go Body Moisturiser product for months and wondered when it was going to make it's way to the UK. So when I watched Brogans July Collective Haul and saw she had picked one up in Boots I knew I had to try it. So I chose the cocoa butter one out of the three available. The other two are a normal version and a aloe vera one. I tried this out in the store as surprisingly they had testers and it made my arms so soft I knew I was going to love it.

And finally the makeup bits I bought! I bought my trusty concealer which is the Rimmel Wake Me Up in True Ivory. I love this stuff it really does do what it says. When I have to wake up at 2.30am for work I definitely need something to make me appear awake! Then I managed to spot the Maybelline Color Show Polish in '188 Electric Pink'. This is one of their summer colours and I'm always on the lookout for a new pink so I thought what the hell. The last two products were my favourite. I've always wanted to try Benefit's Coralista Blush but just never brought myself to buy it. So when I saw this cute little Coral My World kit by the till's for £9.50 I thought what a perfect opportunity to try out not only Coralista blush but Sun Beam highlighter as well. And last but not least is a little product that everyone and their dog has heard about in the beauty world. Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray is a well hyped product at the moment. But I haven't had the best of luck with salt sprays so I didn't want to fork out £21.50 for the full size to find out I don't like it. So I spotted this mini version for £9.50 and thought it was perfect to trial out the product.

So there you have it what I bought with my birthday giftcards. Do you own any of these products? Do you want to try any of these products?

Ciate Caviar Nail Dupe??

I had heard about these Primark 3D Manicure sets a couple of months ago on someone else's blog (Sorry I can't remember who's it was) and really wanted to try them out as I didn't want to spend £18 on the Ciate Cavier Sets only to find out I didn't like them. So when I went shopping the other day I popped into Primark and to my surprise I found them! £2.50 for a Nail Polish, Nail Beads and a Filter to put unused beads back into the bottle. These were the only two colours my Primark had so I'm not sure if any others are available.

As they are from Primark, they don't have names to them so this set comes with a silver polish and pink/white/silver pearl beads.

This set comes with a dark purple/pink polish and multicolored pearl beads.

I can't wait to try these out and take some pictures to review them. I haven't tried the Ciate Caviar Sets so I can't compare them but will do my best to tell you how I found the experience.

Have you tried these yet? Have you tried the Ciate Caviar Sets?

My First OOTD - January '13

Top - H&M £14.99
Jeans - Primark £7.00
Boots - Primark £5.00

Well welcome to my first OOTD. I've got to say thank you to my dad for taking the picture for me. This was a big deal for me as I'm not the most confident person when it comes to my body. But being in the beauty bloggers community for a year now, I can say that it's definitely helped me with some of my body issues. I have fallen in love with this jumper (even though I've only had this for a couple of days!) and I bought it because I saw Sophie from SophieIsMadeUp had purchased it and Instagrammed it and I knew I would love it. Also I need more jumpers in my life. It's available in 6 colours:

The jeans are just standard skinny jeans from Primark. I needed more jeans and don't own any light wash ones, mine are all dark so I picked these up and at only £7 its a bargain. And the boots are the cheap version of Uggs from Primark!!

Hope you enjoyed this, and let me know if you want more of these posts in the future.
