Gift Guide | 2014 Mothers Day

Not long now til it's time to spoil that special woman whether it be your mum, aunt, step-mum, mother-in-law or grandma. I thought I would lend a helping hand and just show you a few possible gift ideas for those very special ladies in your life.

I've chosen a range of beauty related products for this gift guide and will do a few more later with different genres. They vary in price so there's something for everyone.

I know my mum is very into making sure her hands are nice and soft so this would be perfect for her. It contains three of their new hand creams, including their limited edition Rhubarb & Rose, which are perfect for throwing in your handbag and using when you're out and about.

I've chosen a picture of the Gwen Stefani Set but any OPI nail polish is what I was going for. They have such a huge range of colours there's bound to be something for everyone and also don't forget their base coats, top coats and nail treatments they sell.

Skincare is a big thing in most womens life. Why not treat your mum to a luxury skincare brand. I've only recently dabbled with Elemis but so far love it and I think my mum would love it to.

I couldn't do a gift guide and not mention Jo Malone Candles. The one I particularly love is Sweet Almond & Macaroon. It smells amazing and they will definitely love it if they are into sweet/bakery smells.

A nice fragrance is a perfect gift this Mother's Day. I decided to pick a Philosophy one as I sometimes think it's a brand that gets forgotten about for their fragrances amonst all the bigger names. So next time you're in a boots have a sniff!!

I obviously couldn't not mention Lush and their array of gifts for Mother's Day. A lovely little gift set like this one is perfect and has everything they could need to pamper themselves and have a relaxing evening in the bath. And a bonus is she gets a tin to then store her stuff in.

Review | Elemis Balancing Lavender Toner

I'm going to be honest, My names Adele and I never used to use a toner! I never really understood the importance of using a toner until I started working in my current job and got a lot of training on skincare. So I've been on the market for a toner for a while and have tried and tested quite a few. I'm not a cosmetic snob but none of the drugstore ones I tried felt like they were really doing anything and I didn't feel I was gaining anything from them. So having the benefit of working in Duty Free I thought i'd take the chance to chat to some of the consultants and ask them about their toners. I decided to settle on the Elemis brand and their Balancing Lavender Toner. As I can get some redness and uneveness to my skin the lovely Lydia that works for Elemis recommended this one for me to try. And the result, I LOVE IT! It totally calms my skin after I've cleansed and reduces the redness and hydrates my skin.

What toner do you use?

Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm Review

I'm not going to lie, when it comes to taking my makeup off I am lazy! Anything that involves more then a simple wipe away was far too much hard work for me until I got to try this little beauty out. I bought the Elemis Balancing Lavender Toner which I will have a review up of soon and as a result received a lovely free gift with a few different products in to try. One of those freebies being the new Cleansing Balm and also the new Illuminating Flash Balm. When you buy the full size which is available from the timetospa website for £39.50 you also get a cleansing cloth which was also included in the free gift.

My initial thought was that I wasn't going to get on with it, use it once and then chuck it in a drawer never to be seen or used again. Oh how I was wrong!! I am now fully converted and can't even think of removing my makeup with anything else. The directions state to scoop a small amount and massage the balm onto dry skin for approximately 5 minutes. Leave for a couple of minutes to dissolve makeup and grime then wet fingertips and continue to massage to turn the balm into a milky texture. Wet the cleansing cloth with warm water and wipe away. I've been recommended to double cleanse so I use a Garnier cream cleanser first then this and its amazing how you think you've removed all your makeup then actually seeing how much muck is still left on your face. I have seen a major difference in my skin from using this and the Elemis Lavender toner. I urge you all to at least try this out and see what you think. It's great for all skin types and doesn't leave a greasy film on your skin at all. Definitely a 10/10 product for me and a holy grail part of my skincare routine.

Have you tried this out yet?
