Things I Want To Buy | Maybelline Makeup

Today I wanted to share with you some new makeup items I am hoping to purchase in the future to try out and fingers crossed love. I'm trying my hardest to save money so am in the middle of sorting out a beauty ban but until then I can plan what makeup gems I want to spend my money on!!

First up is the much hyped Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser. I've read a few reviews and the consensus is very positive. It is said to be a dupe of Benefits Porefessional which is an every day product in my makeup routine. So if I can find an alternative for a fraction of the price I'm on board. I can't wait to purchase it and try it out. It's available from Boots for £7.99.

Next is the new Maybelline Colour Sensational In The Buff lipstick collection. As I've only seen them online and not in person I can't say which ones I want to buy (who knows I might want them all!) but I do like the look of majority of the shades. I've been on the hunt for a while for a nude lipstick that doesn't make me look like a dead corpse so hopefully this might mean the end to my search. Available from Boots for £6.99.

I've been through many foundations and have yet to find an affordable product to call my staple or holy grail product. I'm using Guerlain Lingerie De Peau but with this costing £37.00 it isn't very friendly to my old bank account. Again like the primer I've only seen a couple of blog posts about the new Maybelline Super Stay Better Skin so fingers crossed this may be the one. Available from Boots for £8.99.

I haven't seen any mention or blog posts about the new Maybelline Super Stay Better Skin Concealer but I thought I would just throw it in. When new duo products come out I like to test both to see if they do really match well. In the past I've found it hard to colour match the foundation to the concealer as sometimes they are completely different. Also available from Boots for £5.99.

If I do end up purchasing these be sure to look out for a haul post or reviews.

Do you own any of these products? Are you interested in any of them?

Battle Of The Nude Palettes

The most popular topic you will probably find round the beauty blogging community lately will be that of the nude palettes! Most brands have released their own version of the nude palette so I thought I would run through a couple of them.

First up is The Balm's Nude'tude Palette. I personally don't own any of The Balm products although I've heard so many good things that I hope soon enough that will change. This palette consists of 12 shadows which according to The Balm make wearing nudes fun. They are satiny smooth shadows which are perfect to be worn alone or layered. The palette costs £26 and is available from Feel Unique.

Probably the most well known nude palette and unfortunately I still don't have the pleasure of owning it yet is the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette. After the success of the Naked and Naked 2 Palettes of course they were going to come out with a 3rd. But without owning any of them I can say from pictures each palette does look different. I believe I've read that this palette is more rosy/pinky nude colours. The palette costs £37 and is available from Debenhams.

Finally the one I can say I own is the Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette. This palette is basically the smaller / cheaper version of the Naked, Naked 2 & Naked 3 and is their first Matte palette with six neutral colours to wear alone or layer up including four never before seen colours. I love this palette and haven't put it down since I received it for Christmas. It retails at £20 and is available from Debenhams.

Finally there is w7's input with their In The Buff Palette. I've seen this floating around a few beauty blogs and instagrams but as w7 isn't widely available I haven't heard a lot about it but from websites I've managed to find out its a mixture of 12 shimmer and matte colours. I'm not 100% where w7 is available from, I've seen it in New Look a couple of times but I did manage to find a site selling the palette for a bargain price of £5.49. The site is called Xtras.

How many nude palettes do you own? Are there any I've missed out?

My Favourite 5 Blogs Of 2013

Long time no see!!
Yes I'm back and cannot tell you how excited I am to get back in to blogging! My laptop issues still are not fixed but I have acquired myself a iPad air!! So do bare with me whilst I get used to blogging on this thing.

So to get back into the swing of things I thought I would start off easy with a post of my 5 favourite blogs of 2013. Because although I couldn't blog that certainly didn't stop me from reading all your lovely blogs. So without further ado...

Hannah over at Cosmetic Crave is definitely one of my favourite blogs to look out for when she does a new post. From reviews to hauls I love reading what Hannah has to say.

Laura over at Lola And Behold is one of my closest blogging buddies. We met last year and I truly trust what she has to say about products. I read her blog long before I met her and continue to love reading it.

Sophie at Sophie Rose Hearts is also another one of my closest blogging buddies. What I love about Sophie's blog is her lifestyle posts. I especially loved seeing her trip to Paris through her eyes.

Hayley over at Beauty Rambles takes the most gorgeous blog pictures which really are eye catching. From nail polish to lush products Hayley has plenty to tell you about.

Katie over at SugarFixxBeauty is someone who's style I completely adore. And can we just talk about her gorgeous pink hair for a minute!! She takes lovely blog pictures and the content is just a delight to read.

So there we have it my favourite 5 blogs from last year. I look forward to reading all your lovely blogs this year and hopefully discovering some new ones to follow.

Thanks again for all of you who have stuck by me during my hiatus!

Til next time...
