Review | Benefit Roller Lash

Benefit mascaras have always been hit or miss with me. First there was Bad Gal Lash which just didn't work for me. I found the brush too big and it just didn't do much for my lashes. A few years later along came They're Real, which I fell in love with. It became my holy grail mascara as it did exactly what it said on the tin, gave me false looking lashes which were amazingly long wearing and didn't smudge. Move aside They're Real I now have a new favourite...

Without blowing my own trumpet I do have quite good natural lashes. They are quite long and rather dark (so much my teachers at primary school use to think I was wearing mascara). What I love about this mascara is it really separates and curls my lashes which is what I look for most in a mascara. The curl also holds and doesn't drop.

I can tell how much I love a mascara with how quickly I want to try out a different one and since I started using Roller Lash I haven't even thought of using any other. The wand is a rubber/plastic one which I normally am not a fan of but this has definitely changed my mind. Even though it's slightly more costly I will most definitely be repurchasing as I feel it's worth it's price tag.

Roller Lash costs £19.50 and is available from the Benefit site & Boots.

Do you own Roller Lash? What's your opinion?

Wishlist | Make Up For Ever

As everyone in the bloggersphere is probably already aware, Make Up For Ever has landed at Debenhams in Oxford Street and online at Debenhams.com. I am super excited to spend my pennies on some things I've been lusting after for a while (as well as seeing what I can get my hands on at IMATS) so I thought I would show you my MUFE wishlist.

1. Make Up For Ever HD Foundation £29.00 - Possibly the most coveted MUFE product, the HD foundation is probably top of my list. It claims to give flawless coverage with an extremely natural finish. Now that's what I'm talking about.

2. Make Up For Ever Full Cover Concealer £21.00 - As a girl who suffers badly from acne scaring, a full coverage concealer is something I'm always on the look out for. On the website it says Full Cover Concealer covers extreme flaws such as birthmarks, scars and skin damage so this sounds like exactly what I need.

3. Make Up For Ever Mat Velvet + Foundation £29.00 - One less talked about MUFE foundation is the Mat Velvet +. I loved the description 'The Mat Velvet + foundation conceals skin imperfections, evens out the complexion and matifies with a non-oily powdery finish.' This sounds like my perfect foundation.

4. Make Up For Ever Artist Plexi-Gloss £16.00 - Available in 18 different shades from soft and subtle to bold and brazen, the new Artist Plexi-Glosses are meant to have it all. Shocking shine, excessive colour and stay-on power.

5. Make Up For Ever Step 1 Skin Equalizer - Smoothing Primer £24.00 - I've heard nothing but good reviews on these primers on Youtube and as a bit of a primer hoarder I can see myself purchasing all of these. But the one that caught my eye first is the Smoothing Primer.

6. Make Up For Ever Smoky Lash £17.00 - I believe this was the first ever product I had heard about from MUFE, and who doesn't like to try out a new mascara??

7. Make Up For Ever HD Blush £29.00 - I would say blushers are my favourite thing to collect, but I have fair few cream blushers as I find them harder to work with. But I've heard good things about their HD blushers so would like to try them out.

Do you already own any of these products? What's on your wishlist?

Baking | Mince Pies In May

Me and my mum are both keen bakers, not only do we get to make yummy goodies but it's something we bond over. So when we remembered we still had a jar of mincemeat in the cupboard (which has a long shelf life thankfully) we thought we would have a crack at making mince pies. After all who says it has to be Christmas to enjoy these little mounds of heaven, can you tell I love mince pies? If it was my choice I would have them available all year round!

We decided to use puff pastry so ours came out a little differently to the norm but still just as delicious. Also to make things a little different in some of them we added chocolate chips, and yes it definitely works! They were possibly the easiest thing I've ever baked, it's as simple as cutting out the pastry with a cookie cutter, using a spoon drop a small amount of the mincemeat in the middle then cut out another piece of pastry for the top. We used a cupcake/muffin tray to bake ours and they only took 5-10 minutes to be ready to gobble up.

If you're ever feeling peckish, these are great to make as they are simple and quick.

Do you like mince pies? Would you like them more available throughout the year like me?

Review | Makeup Revolution Fix & Focus Brow Kit

After years of being an eyebrow pencil girl, then moving onto MACs eyeshadow in Charcoal Brown I've now discovered my holy grail product. And to think I was spending £10 a time on the MAC shadow when I wish I had discovered this little baby sooner.

I'm talking about the Makeup Revolution Fix & Focus Brow Kit and for £2.50 you are definitely getting more than your moneys worth. The kit contains 3 brow powders in 3 different shades and a wax cream (which I am yet to actually use). The shade I use is Light-Medium and I tend to stick to the two shades on the left side of the kit and blend these to make my perfect shade. I find these powders blend well together and when applied gives me a natural filling of my brow instead of making them appear hideously fake, which I have most definitely experienced in the past.

What's your holy grail brow product?

Sharing The Love | My Favourite Blogs

For today's post I wanted to share with you some of my favourite blogs from some of my favourite bloggers that have become good friends of mine. If you're not already following them then what are you waiting for!

Although not my usual read of a beauty blog, Lauren writes about her life and her family and I just have to say how cute are Athena & Arlo. Not having children myself I love being on the journey with her and seeing her children grow up.

One of the many things I admire about Carries blog is her photography. Alongside the impeccable content is what makes her blog one of the best I've read.

Lauras fashion posts are some of my favourites. If you read any of her posts make sure you check out her DIY creations. I especially enjoyed reading her Jewellery Storage post as this is something I need in my life. Also can't wait to see her wedding pictures!

I love the mixture of posts on Lyndsays blog. From crafting to beauty you get a bit of everything. And check out her latest post from the Brighton Foodies Festival... PUG PUPPY!!

Again another blog with a whole mixture of various posts. Lilla has one of the best written blogs I've come across and some gorgeous pictures to go alongside.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say Lola And Behold is my favourite blog! Lauras posts are so easy to read yet at the same time so informative. Clear pictures with interesting text makes for a blog I love to read.

First off, LOVE Rosies blog name! Along with beauty posts she incorporates fitness posts which is great inspiration for me to try and get fit again!!

I love Sophies blog! I love the layout, the colour scheme and obviously most important the content. And the girl takes a good selfie!!

If you have any favourite blogs, leave links in the comments below!
