A Tutorial With A Bite....

Evening Lovelies...
I know my blog is one of beauty but I thought it would be nice to break it up a little bit and throw a few non beauty related posts into the mix. Tonight I want to share with you the dessert I made tonight. It is most definitely a don't look at the calorie content dessert but it is nice to treat yourselves every now and then when we have all worked hard.

Ingredients....
  • 250g digestives
  • 75g soft unsalted butter
  • 400g jar Nutella, at room temp
  • 100g chopped mix nuts
  • 500g cream cheese, at room temp
  • 60g icing sugar

Method....

Step 1: Break the digestives into the bowl of a processor, add the butter and a 15ml tablespoon of Nutella, and blitz until it starts to clump. Add 25g of the nuts and continue to pulse until you have a damp, sandy mixture.

Step 2: Tip into a 23cm round springform and press into the base either using your hands or the back of a spoon. Place in the fridge to chill.

Step 3: Beat the cream cheese and icing sugar until smooth and then add the remaining Nutella to the cream cheese mixture, and continue beating until combined.

Step 4: Take the springform out of the fridge and carefully smooth the Nutella mixture over the base. Scatter the remaining 75g of chopped nuts on top to cover and place tin in fridge for at least four hours or overnight. Serve straight from the fridge for best results.

I sourced this recipe from here. It's such a delicious treat if you love all things sweet and so easy, there is no baking involved. Just pop it in the fridge to chill. I love making this for my family and I'm pretty sure they have enjoyed eating it. If anyone tries out this recipe let me know how you get on. Enjoy...
