*Mallzee - A New Way To Shop

Online shopping is definitely a thing of today. As much as going to town is fun who wouldn't much prefer sitting at home in the warmth and purchasing pretty things with a click of a button (Especially around Christmas time when the shops are manic, yes I'm thinking about Christmas 2013!). The only time this can sometime hinder more then help is when it comes to clothes shopping.

The fun thing I find about going clothes shopping with friends is trying on outfits and getting your friends opinion right? When shopping online I can't say many people find something and then email their friends for their opinion before purchasing. This is what online shopping is lacking... The social side to it.

This is where Mallzee comes in handy! Mallzee claims to be the new social way of shopping online. This is what they say...

"Mallzee is all about creating a new experience for shopping online. Users create their own personalized shopping mall (Mallzee) by picking their favourite brands and stores. Our fancy software then finds products matching your personal style and showcases them in your Mallzee! To add a new social aspect users can then invite their friends to ‘visit’ their Mallzee through the use of Facebook chat. Friends can then discuss product choices and star items they think their friends will love and purchase from the mall themselves with great discounts negotiated by us. If you're still unable to decided on a purchase you can also create polls to ask your friends opinions before you buy. An added bonus to inviting friends to your mallzee is that as the ‘owner’ you earn money every time anyone buys from your Mallzee! (That's right you get paid when you or your friends shop!)

Currently we have over 200 brands signed up to Mallzee (Urban Outfitters, New Look, Feel Unique and St. Tropez to name a few). We're really keen to get the word out about Mallzee and get future users excited about the concept before we launch later this year. With this in mind people can register now for a launch invite at Mallzee.com and if they spread the word on Facebook or Twitter we will also enter them into a prize for £100/$155 of shopping vouchers and some other goodies"

I am 100% sold on this site particularly drawn to the brands which are already signed up to the whole idea. New Look, Feel Unique and St. Tropaz are among some of my favourite brands so I cannot wait for this site to launch. I haven't heard about a launch date as of yet but I would keep an eye out very soon!

If you haven't already signed up...Err why not ha! You can do so here and be among the first ones to experience this exciting experiment.

The Beauty Bloggers Tag

YAY! I'm back. The festive period didn't mean a nice break for me. As I work at Gatwick Airport it meant I unfortunately had to work all over Christmas and New Year!! So sorry for the lack of posts. I will resume as normal from now! I will have a What I Got For Christmas post up super soon I promise. I know I'm a little late with this post but I figured better late then never hey! So thank you to Sophia over at Tattooed Tea Lady for creating this lovely tag for us beauty bloggers to do!

Why did you start blogging and how long have you been blogging for?
Well my first blog post was way back in June 2009. But I was never seriously into it until 2012. So it's been 3 years theoretically but I only count from 2012 so I say 7 months.

Whose blog did you fall in love with first?
I'm probably going with the majority here when I say who I first started reading. They are all really popular beauty bloggers now days and I still love reading and learning from their blogs as much as I did when I first found them.

Zoe over at Zoella
Milly over at Pearls and Poodles
Laura over at Belles Boutique

What was the first blogosphere hyped about product you bought and was it worth the hype?
The first hyped product I bought which was worth it would probably be Rimmels Wake Me Up foundation and concealer. I am still very much in love with both these items and still use them today. They have become my holy grail products.

What are your favourite five things about blogging and being a beauty blogger?
First things first is the fact I get to talk about all things makeup and beauty to my hearts content without feeling like I'm boring anyone to death. I can talk hours on end about my favourite products or new findings without people thinking I'm crazy or obsessed (which lets face it I am!!)

When I write about a certain product which I love and I get comments saying how they have gone out and purchased said product especially when people haven't liked a product but have given it a second try after reading my blog.

I love that I have managed to discover so many great new products just by being a beauty blogger. And that most are all high street products which I don't think I would of tried if it hadn't been for beauty blogs.

Which leads onto the beauty blogging community. When I first started my blog, none of my friends were really into beauty products or makeup like I was so I never really had anyone I could chat to about my obsession. The beauty blogging community has become a huge part of my life and although I haven't met any of the lovely boys and girls I chat to I feel like they are all like my closest friends.

The interaction between bbloggers is amazing. Through Twitter and Facebook I get to chat to some lovely people and follow their beauty obsessions. I've discovered so many new blogs through twitter and I love that I get to chat to my followers.

What have you learnt from being a beauty blogger?
I've learnt so many things since becoming a beauty blogger! I would probably say the most I've learnt is you shouldn't base your opinions on others. Just because other bloggers like or dislike a product doesn't mean I will or won't.

Have you changed anything since being a beauty blogger?
I have probably changed the way I use products. I have learnt so many tips and tricks I never knew before blogging. How or where I think a product should be used, can be used 10 other ways on 10 other places of the face/body.

What advice would you give to a beauty blogger just starting out?
It's not a scary place. Communicate with other bloggers and don't feel pressured! Blog when you want to don't feel like you HAVE to. It's not fun when it feels like it's turned into a job!

Name your top five brands!
This is a hard one...
-MAC
-Rimmel
-Laura Mercier
-Benefit
-OPI

Recommend your top five favourite beauty products!
Again very hard...
-Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation & Concealer (I'm counting these as 1!)
-Any MAC Lipsticks
-Any OPI/Essie/China Glaze polishes
-Cetaphil Cleanser
-Benefit Box O Blushers

Tag other beauty bloggers to do this tag!
I tag anyone who wants to do this, and let me know when you have so I can check out your answers!!

Color Club Glitter Vixen Collection

A while ago I picked up this little beaut in TK Maxx for a bargain price of £7.99!! 7 Glitter polishes from Color Club. I've been meaning to post about them for a while and also review them but I haven't had the chance to actually wear them. All 7 of these are made up of multi-sized glitter suspended in clear polish. Most glitter polishes apply sparsely – these are the complete opposite of sparse. Anyway onto the colours...

Object Of Envy
Object of Envy is a gorgeous emerald green. I definitely do not own anything like this.

Art Of Seduction
This one will make everyone very much think of China Glazes 'Ruby Pumps' but they are massively different. 'Ruby Pumps' is very opaque and is a very fine glitter in a very sheer red polish whereas 'Art of Seduction' is full on red glitter in a clear polish so you can build it up, perfect for this festive time of year.

Sex Symbol
This is such a lovely silver glitter. I can't wait to try this out. I will probably wear this on my ring finger as a accent nail.

Magic Attraction
This is the one polish of the 7 I am most excited to try out. It's a holographic chunky glitter to which I don't own any others.

Sexy Siren
I love this colour. Who doesn't love a turquoise glitter polish.

Tru Passion
This is a delightful violet colour, and you can't go wrong with violet and glitter.

Sultry
I am currently wearing this on my nails as I have to work tomorrow (Christmas Day) so to get my into some sort of a Christmas mood I painted this and surprisingly it only took 2 coats to get a perfect finish.

Hope you enjoyed this little overview and when I get a chance to wear a few more of the colours I might do a swatch & review post. I also have another Color Club Collection post coming up.

Christmas Party Nails: NOTN

Hey Guys, On Monday I had my works Christmas party. I was hoping to post some pictures but it turns out I didn't actually take that many photos!! But what I did think I could do for you guys is show you my nails for the night.

With Flash

Without Flash

Firstly I applied the Elegant Touch Totally Bare false nails (which I picked up from Superdrug, view them here.) I got these as someone at work had recommended them to me. And I have to say I have had them on for a week and they are 100% not chipped and still going strong!

The first colour is OPI 'Lincoln Park After Dark'. I love this colour especially for winter. It was so easy to paint onto the false nails and dried quite quickly.
Then the divine top coat is from the OPI James Bond collection. My dad very kindly purchased it for me. It is the 'The Man With The Golden Gun 18k Gold Leaf Top Coat'. I love the effect this polish gave and I have received so many compliments on my nails since wearing this. You do have to build up the gold leaf effect as you do with glitter polishes but then it dries quite fast so this doesn't take a lot of extra time.

What do you guys think? I'm off to reapply a new colour to my nails. Do you enjoy these type of posts? Let Me Know...

Christmas Party Dress Hunt: ASOS

Since I got such a good response from my post about Christmas Party Dress Hunting in New Look (You can read that post here) I thought maybe I'll do a couple more posts from didn't shops / sites leading up to the festive period.
These are all from asos.com.

I love this dress. It's got the collar on it which is on trend at the moment and I love the skirt on it that puffs out sorta like a tutu. I'm also a lover of lace, so you can't really go wrong with this dress.
Again with the lace (I am rather obsessed!) and I adore the colour of this dress. A burgundy red wine sort of colour is definitely in season and especially for the month of December. I also like that it has little sleeves, which if your like me and hate your arms this would make me feel a little bit more secure and comfortable.
3. ASOS Party Dress with Velvet Trim - £40.00 £30.00
I know a lot of people tend to steer away from the lighter colours around Christmas time. Red wine + a cream dress = DISASTER! But I thought I would just throw this one in to the mix as a suggestion in case your attending a alcohol free soiree.
I chose this dress as it's different to anything I've really seen before. I love the sequinned collar and bodice with the mesh material going across the chest area. Being a curvy girl, I'm not too keen on bodycon dresses but its not something that can't be solved with a pair of spanx!
Can you see a pattern emerging here? Another dress which is black & gold with sequins! Well everyone loves a bit of sparkle at their Christmas party don't they? This is a fun little dress that could still be worn after the festive period on a night out. And it's discounted at the moment...bonus!!
I thought I would chuck in another festive colour and a favourite for a lot of people, a little red dress! Again the bodice covered in sequins with a lovely chiffon skirt. The bodice has a wonderful cornelli flower design.

MAC Mineralize Skinfinish - Lightscapade

MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in 'Lightscapade' Limited Edition 2011

I don't know about you guys but I am addicted to MAC Mineralize skinfinishes! As much as I would love to own all of them, my bank balance just would not allow it. I have 3 in total. Soft and Gentle (permanent), Stereo Rose & Lightscapade.

MAC Lightscapade has been released with many collections and to be honest I can't remember which collection I actually purchased mine from. I do remember I saw it in a collection but didn't have the funds at the time so missed out. But like many limited edition products with MAC sooner or later they are re released and I was lucky enough that I had the funds this time round!

MAC describes it as a 'soft candlelight beige with multi-dimensional shimmer'. At first glance it may look very pale but when applied lightly it just gives a gorgeous shimmer.

All in all I love this highlighter and if you love the skinfinishes like me then next time this is released (it may be a while!) I urge you to go out and buy it!
